Tracking of the basic ensemble performances and early mixes of both songs took place at 2Fly, the studios of Sheffield based producer, Alan Smyth (whose credits include iconic records by The Arctic Monkeys and Pulp). This brand new mix reverts to Alan's crisp, punchy production as its core, embellished with additional vocal harmonies and atmospheric instrumentation by the band. In short, it is how 'Sweet Georgia Gazes' deserves to be heard.
Sweet Georgia Gazes:
'as perfect an indie pop song as you can hope for... blissfully washed out - but the melodies here shine through'
- Great Central Magazine
'an intricate writhe of guitar blaze and billows of angelic vocals'
- Dervswerve Blog
Daisy Age:
'reminds me of great 90's guitar pop records from a time before everything was crushed under a giant England-flag-face-tattoo of mindless, formulaic pub-rock. It gives me hope again.’
- Joel Evans (Tiny Eyes)
